Good afternoon,
Orange County Texas has been fortunate to recruit and retain numerous industry partners in our region. However, the economic impacts of COVID have shown us that previous efforts and industries may no longer look the same.
As a result, the Orange County Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC) has retained the services of VisionFirst Advisors and Foremost Quality Logistics (FQL) to conduct a logistics, distribution and warehousing industry growth strategy. The strategy will provide our community an ideal opportunity to review our efforts and set a clear path for our future efforts to improve business recruitment and retention in the area.
VisionFirst is an economic development consulting firm that provides services focused on state, regional and local economic development strategy and location advisory services. VisionFirst’s professionals have in-depth experience across all aspects of economic development leading and working in the field at the local, regional and state level.
FQL specializes in logistics & supply chain strategy for companies seeking to locate facilities (site selection), building owners trying to better market their warehouse/plant properties (marketing), communities trying to lure industrial and/or manufacturing companies to their town (attraction strategy).
At the end of the process, VisionFirst will develop an assessment and recommendations regarding the industry sector, and a cohesive strategy that will help expand the local economy.
A critical component of the assessment is gathering the input from the stakeholders. As such, we are requesting to schedule a meeting with yourself and members of the VisionFirst and FQL team on August 20th from 10:00-10:45 AM in the Dupont Room of the Orange County Expo. This open dialogue provides context as our team develops strategies reflective of the priorities of the community, with an awareness of the existing challenges and a focus on measurable as well as achievable goals and objectives.
